Oh, come on, learn to have a little fun. When I was a kid, oh, this movie was Oscar-worthy to me. I thought it was absolutely hysterical. One of the best movies I had seen.
Now, it's a little stupid, but come on. If you enjoyed "Excellent Adventure" you should most likely have fun with "Bogus Journey. This was the movie before "Dude, where's my car. Only this one is actually funny. Like I said, it's just a good time. It shouldn't be taken seriously and if you enjoyed the first one, you should like "Bogus Journey. It's just a funny movie with some memorable characters. For your enjoyment only, watch it, let go, and remember that it's a silly comedy. That's all.

The evil Joss Ackland tries to ruin the future by sending back two evil robot versions of Bill & Ted to kill the real Bill & Ted and prevent them from becoming the most excellent band the Wild Stallions. This results in Bill & Ted embarking on an odyssey that takes them to Heaven, Hell, and all points in between and recruiting the Grim Reaper and two alien inventors to build some good robot versions of themselves to battle and destroy the evil versions of themselves.
Do the heroes triumph? Of course, dude! Good thing Reeves and Winter are still in the spirit of things.
About on par with the first, but the film really doesn't get going until Bill & Ted literally go to Hell (don't miss their most extended fall through the great void before actually landing in Hell. While in Hell, they encounter their deepest, darkest fears - the Easter Bunny and Grandma! In order to escape Hell, they must take on the Grim Reaper in a series of games that most excellently parody the chess game between the knight and death in "The Seventh Seal.
Definitely worth a look if you're in the mood for something light weight and goofy.
